Sandy (Johnson) Chavez
In 2013, Chavez and Peck decided they had reached their growth ceiling while contracting through a local entertainment company. They decided it was time to create the work environment they had imagined and desired;low maintenance, talented, respectful artists for hire
Mystic Brush was forged with one main mantra in mind, we would help each customer harness their inner imagination with us as their artistic guides.
With their combined artistic talents and creative experience, Chavez and Peck are able to offer multiple and unique art services such as professional face painting and makeup, henna tattoos, glitter tattoos, temporary tattoos, murals, sign painting, banner designs, costume design and portraits.
We started Mystic Brush LLC booking local festivals near and far with Fort Wayne German Fest kicking off the season and ending with the Indianapolis Scottish Highland Games and Fisher's Renaissance Faire. Today, we also book many corporate events as well as private parties. We love what we do and we love creating memorable moments for our customers.
Kristen Peck
Kristen Peck began working as a face painter to combine her love of people and children with her love of art and cosmetology. First introduced to the art by partner Sandy Chavez, she fell in love with the idea of body art and art for entertainment.
While pursuing degrees in communications and public relations, she decided after 10 years of working for other companies in related fields, she would branch out, and merge creative forces with artist and fashion designer Sandy Johnson, in order to obtain more autonomy and creative flexibility while in school. Kristen has now finished her degrees and graduated.
She is on a new adventure. She has joined the now trending Vanlife. She will be traveling cross country while living in a van.
Kristen will be working on the road blogging for The Little River Wetlands Project. She will continue representing Mystic Brush LLC while on her journey.
Sandy Chavez, with over 30 years experience in design and fine arts, decided her artistic talents were not being utilized fully in her current situation and found a business match in partner Kristen Peck. Utilizing their unique talents, together, they both discussed the value of a friendly, cooperative, and fun work environment focused around adaptability and growth.
